File Weekly Claim

ReEmployKS has partnered with the Kansas Department of Labor to provide the ability to file weekly unemployment insurance claims directly from the corresponding pages on our site. The instructions below allow you to file weekly claims. Your remaining UI Balance displays on your Job Seeker Dashboard as well. The weekly dates and information included in the system display based on the information you provided to the Kansas Department of Labor when you first applied for unemployment insurance.

  1. Click File Weekly Claim in the side menu under Kansas Department of Labor or click File a Weekly Claim beside the UI Balance widget on the Job Seeker Dashboard to choose a week to claim. The File Weekly Claim page displays.
  2. From the File Weekly Claim page, select the date for the week you are claiming from the Select a Week to Claim drop-down list. The dates are listed by the week ending date.
  3. Click Next. The File Weekly Claim (Questions) page displays.
  4. Select the Yes or No option button for each question on the page. Answer the questions truthfully. If you work during any week claimed, even if you will receive the pay at a later date, you must report your gross earnings, before deductions, for the week in which you performed the work. This includes any pay received as a reservist or member of the National Guard for weekend drill and annual training participation.
  5. To submit your weekly unemployment insurance claim, click Submit Claim. The Weekly Claim Information page displays.
  6. If more information is needed to complete your claim for unemployment benefits, an alert displays at the top of the page. More information from the Kansas Department of Labor is included on this page. KDOL may request further documentation to complete the claim. The documents that need to be completed are listed as links. The links open PDFs that you can type the requested information into and print out or email to your local unemployment benefits center.
  7. Click File Another Claim if you have another week you would like to submit or Return to Dashboard to go back to the Job Seeker Dashboard.
